- Students will write real-time MIDI applications in the MAX programming environment for controlling sound synthesis software/hardware.
- They will learn the basic issues of computer interface design. - They will solve general and specific programming problems through the development of algorithms. - They will learn successful, flexible, and reusable programming. Assessment Information
Two class tests (5% each) and a project (90%).
N.B. The assessment will involve a compulsory ten-minute presentation to the examiners by each student, the times for which will be arranged individually and in advance. The presentation is not, however, part of the assessment, rather it takes place merely to expediate access to computer software configurations that are otherwise difficult to document.
