Immunology 3 (U00696)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 9 ? Acronym : BIO-3-IMM A course in cellular and molecular immunology presented in the context of human disease: cells and tissues of the immune system; antibodies, T cell receptors and immune recognition; the regulation of immune responses; defects of the immune system; immunity to pathogens and vaccines. Laboratory work illustrates the lectures and gives practice in experimental applications. Entry Requirements? Pre-requisites : Genes and Gene Action 2 is required. The Dynamic Cell 2 and Microorganisms, Cells and Immunity 2 are recommended. ? Costs : Students should supply a lab coat, notebook and marker pen.
