New Orientations in Travel (U00160)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : LLC-4-U00160 This course will study two-way travel between France and Africa through a variety of post-colonial texts and films. As an introduction, some of the issues arising from nineteenth-century European colonial travel writing will be analysed. This framework will help to assess the ways in which the twentieth-century mass movements of immigrants and tourists have led to new definitions of the notions of travel and travellers. To acquire an advanced knowledge and understanding of the subject, recognising its complexity;
