This course will study Wittgenstein's later philosophy, concentrating on the Philosophical Investigations together with Wittgenstein's views on religion, aesthetics, and psychoanalysis.

To develop further the philosophical skills, and to extend as well as deepen the philosophical knowledge, acquired in previous philosophy courses.

Assessment will be by 2-hour examination in the May diet. Senior Honours students doing the dissertation in Philosophy must write a long essay (approximately 5000 words) in lieu of the final exam.
