This courses gives students exposure to a variety of ares of Psychology in which our local research community excels. The series of research based lectures has a numer of aims:
1. to show how choice and use of methdology is influenced by the particular subject matter.
2. to examine how contextual factors affect collection and meaning of evidence.
3. give students the opportunity to discuss current research issues with experts in the area.

Topics normally include:
Health and Differential psychology research
Developemental research
Social Psychology methods
Cognitive Neuropsychology

1. Understand the underlying theoretical principles of at least two local research projects.
2. Be able to explain how at least two research questions have influenced the methodologies that were chosen to explore the hypotheses under exploration.
