Contemporary Scotland (P00817)

This course has been designed to complement 'Scotland in the 20th century'. It is designed to give students who have completed that course an opportunity to add depth to their knowledge of twentieth century Scotland and to examine contemporary issues in a historical context.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Through completion of the course students will have gained knowledge and understanding of the this period of Scottish history and will have had some experience of the following skills: critical reading of primary and secondary sources; completion of independent research leading to seminar presentation and submission of written work to a required standard; participation in group seminar work and an appreciation of the responsibility to other members of the group.
