Research Design & Project Management (P00748)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : GEO-P-GISFGID This course builds on Research Design in Geography by introducing project management in a commercial environment through a series of case studies expounded by experienced GIS consultants and industry practitioners. It teaches students how to design consultancy and research projects and the significance of considering a range of issues (practical, ethical and intellectual) relevant to successful project planning. The course also introduces the GIS dissertation and leads into the annual postgraduate conference, where students contribute talks on their chosen field of research. Entry Requirements? Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students should:
