Business Simulation and Lothians Consultancy Project (P00318)

Business Simulation and Lothians Consultancy Project comprises two business projects. The Simulation is an advanced business game, providing a chance to apply strategic analysis across all sections of the company, in an interactive market setting. In the Lothians Consultancy Project small groups of students provide consultancy advice to local companies.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Practice in diagnosing problems, or detecting opportunities for the company.

Advising on courses of action by the use of a full range of knowledge and techniques learned on the programme.

Enhance the coherence of decision making.

Practise the skills in groupworking and communication with new groups and the clients.

Assessment Information

The Business Simulation involves a group project report and presentations with a total mark of 25%
The Lothians Project involves a group report, which is defended before the client and the directors of the Management School, with a total mark of 75%
