Study of two major literary periods and their cultural context:
(1) 1760-1830: 'Writing and Revolution'
(2) 1890-1939: 'Revolution in Writing'- together with a variety of theoretical issues and approaches to literature.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : A pass, normally at the first attempt, in either Scottish Literature 1 or English Literature 1.

? Prohibited combinations : Scottish Literature 2 may not be taken with American Literature 2 or with English Literature 2 except by students enrolled for MA Hons English and Scottish Literature.
