Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of the course students
- should have gained an understanding of different models of the church in both historical and theological perspective. - should have gained an understanding of different approaches to Christian worship with particular regard to the relationship between word and sacrament. - should have gained an understanding of different aspects of contemporary ministry in relation to prior theological understandings of the church and its worship. - should be able to read critically and comment upon a number of important texts in the designated areas of study. - should be able to relate the study of historical/theological texts to issues of concern in the contemporary church and its ministry; relate reflection upon the services of worship attended (and worship generally) to the theological texts studied in the course. - should have enhanced the development of their presentational and communication skills in a small group setting Assessment Information
10% on seminar presentations and participation, 30% on an essay, 60% on degree examination.
