Acronym : LLC-1-CT0076 Language work both written and oral with a tutorial through the medium of Gaelic introducing modern Gaelic literary concepts and terminology. Entry Requirements? Pre-requisites : A pass in Gàidhlig or Gaelic (Learners) at SCE Higher Grade or equivalent. Oral competence in Scottish Gaelic must be demonstrated in a manner approved by the department. The course aims to increase familiarity with, and powers of expression in, Scottish Gaelic by means of regular language work, thus leading students towards a sound competence in speaking, reading and writing Scottish Gaelic.
Assessment Information
Regular language and translation exercises throughout the year; 1 two-hour class exam at the end of Semester 1. Class work 50%; degree exam 50%.
