Biometrics 2 (BI0013)

The design and evaluation of biological experiments; the use of computers in data storage, analysis and presentation; the statistical evaluation of biological measurements; statistical methods for comparing data sets and investigating the association between variables. The course will conclude with a section in which one area of investigation will be explored in greater detail.

Increased understanding of biological processes.

Assessment Information

2 practicals, 1 project. Coursework = 25%, degree exam = 75%. Exemption from degree examination for an average of 55% in class exams (with a minimum of 40% in each) and satisfactory coursework.
