A continuation of Japanese 1. Teaching will be aimed at enabling students to speak, read and write Modern Japanese at an intermediate level.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : A pass at 55% or above at the first attempt in Japanese 1.

? Co-requisites : Take re-entrance tests during week 1 in Semester 1.

? Costs : A small charge (£5) per student for photocopying.

Assessment Information

Frequent exercises.
Semester 1:
One 1-hour class exam(10%); 1 word-processed essay in Japanese (10%);

Semester 2:
1 translation project (10%); 1 Japanese oral exam (10%); Overall class performance, including a portfolio (10%); One 3-hour degree exam (50%).
