Haematology / Oncology / Breast Disease (U01758)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : MED-4-haem/onc The course covers the breadth and fascination of haematology, oncology and breast disease. There is a strong overlap between these subjects in the treatment of malignancies, but in addition there are important areas of non-malignant haematology and breast disease. The programme integrates these three subjects to a certain extent for teaching purposes, however they are separate specialities and therefore their distinct identities will be maintained in a co-ordinated manner. To develop a sound understanding of the theoretical basis of haematology, oncology and breast disease, familiarity with approaches to the diagnosis, investigation and management of haematologic, oncologic and breast diseases and an appreciation of the role of haematologic, oncologic and breast evaluation in general clinical practice.

Renal/Urology and Haematology/Oncology/Breast Disease: - Renal continuous assessment 10%; - Case Report (Renal, Haem, Oncology or Breast Disease 15%; - MCQs 50%; - OSCE stations (the OSCE may also include 25%; First Aid & Resuscitation)
