Principles of Mathematical Physics (Year 3) (U01613)

Optional course for Honours Degrees involving Mathematics and/or Statistics. The course develops the mathematical principles underlying physical systems. Content includes: classical dynamics; simple harmonic oscillator; gravitation and orbits; coupled oscillators; waves and fields; quantum dynamics and Schroedinger's equation.

? Pre-requisites : MAT-2-FoC, MAT-2-SVC, MAT-2-LiA, MAT-2-MAM

? Prohibited combinations : PHY-2-PoMP, similar courses from Mathematics 3 (Hons) prior to 2004-05
