Architectural Design Exhibition (U00765)

The Master of Architecture Exhibition Course focuses on methods and techniques for clarifying and articulating the work produced in Architectural Design Opening. In so doing, it will form a public exposition of architectural strategies for the specific city under analysis. This will be in the form of an exhibition and will include three interdependent components: a display, a folio and a catalogue.

Entry Requirements

? Co-requisites : Architectural Design Opening A Architectural Design Opening B Design Thesis 1 Readings in Contemporary Architectural Theory

? Costs : Specialist Equipment Fee Processes and materials involved in the presentation of their work: printing and reprographic charges, photographic costs, drawing and modelling materials; digital storage etc.

? Delivery Period : Semester 1 (Blocks 1-2)

? Contact Teaching Time : 15 minutes per week for 2 weeks

? Additional Class Information : Weeks 12-13 Full time

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

The work will be presented in the format outlined above and should provide evidence of the student's ability to:

- Use visual, verbal and written communication methods and appropriate media (including sketching, modeling, digital and electronic techniques) to represent the testing, analysis and critical appraisal of complex design proposals and their resolution to a range of professional and lay audiences.

- Use architectural representations having critically appraised the most appropriate techniques available.

- Produce documentation and reports that are clear, analytical and logical covering a range of architectural issues of culture, theory and design.

Assessment Information

Drawn, modelled and documented design studio work and project panels presented as portfolio for assessment at the end of the course (100%)
