Parasitic Diseases of Public Health Importance (U00752)

? Credit Points : 10  ? SCQF Level : 10  ? Acronym : BIO-4-ZOhealth

Environmental aspects of parasitic infections, as well as specific examples of waterborne zoonotic infections, eg. cryptosporidiosis, giardiasis, toxoplasmosis, toxacariasis, echinococcosis. Methods of diagnosis of parasitic infections with particular reference to Toxoplasma gondii.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Permission of the Curriculum Approval Officer. Normally Parasite Biology 3 is required or concurrent attendance at Animal Evolution.
