Applied Linguistics (U00666)

To provide an introduction to the field of applied linguistics and a survey of its most active research areas; to examine the nature of pedagogical descriptions of languages and their place in language teaching; and to understand the principal issues being debated within critical applied linguistics.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Linguistics 2 (U00577) or English Language 2 (EN0003) or equivalent.

? Prohibited combinations : Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching (LI0022)
