Digestion and Metabolism (P00855)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : VET-P-P00855 This course will present an in depth analysis of digestion and metabolism in the horse and will act as a foundation to the Equine Nutrition Module. The anatomy and physiology of the equine gastrointestinal tract will be studied to provide students with a detailed understanding of the equine digestive system. Nutrient metabolism will also be examined and consideration will be given to how this can affect the performance, health and welfare of the horse.
