Conservation and Use of Forest Resources (P00731)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : GEO-P-FEMCUFR Forests are in crisis. High rates of deforestation, coupled with increasing demands on forest resources, place forests at the centre of debate on sustainable development and conservation. The key question is how may forests be sustainably used and effectively conserved for some of the myriad resources and services they offer other than timber? This course will examine how answers to this question may be developed. The course will contain contributions from a wide variety of people involved in many different aspects of forestry.
