Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
On successful completion, students will have gained:
- familiarity with the interests and concerns of modern biblical scholarship; - a broad appreciation for interpretative issues from Jewish and Christian canonical writings; - a detailed understanding of selected issues in biblical interpretation; and will be able to: - relate varieties of relevant evidence (biblical, comparative) to given problems in biblical interpretation; - offer critical assessments of major contributions in biblical studies. Assessment Information
Summative: - 20% participation in seminar discussions
- 80% 3000-word essay on one of the five Topics. Formative: - journal"/notebook covering each of the five Topics covered in the course.
