Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
1. summarise interpretations of selected OT texts found in modern commentaries; 2. offer independent readings of those texts using the standard tools of interpretation; 3. relate the study of specific Old Testament books to their wider literary and historical contexts; and 4. write concise seminar papers and engage in constructive debate with others. Assessment Information
One 2000 word essay. 40% coursework (30% essay; 10% seminar preparation), 60% degree examination.
