Investment and Securities Markets (BS0098)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : MSE-P-BS0098 This option is designed as a general introduction to investment and securities markets, especially equity and bond markets. It includes: an introduction to global stock markets; the principles of investment; valuation of equities and bonds; practical aspects of fund management; alternative investments; performance measurement and risk analysis; the process of issuing shares and eurobonds; and an introduction to academic research on financial markets. The intention is to offer information and analysis that is applicable to capital markets anywhere rather than to provide a detailed description of any particular market. The course is primarily from the point of view of investors and the analysts who serve them, rather than from a company perspective. Entry Requirements? Assessment Information
There is one assignment which counts for 30% of the mark and a final exam which counts for 70%.
